In the Dominican Republic, INAIPI's Integral Early Childhood Care model (CAIPI and CAFI centers), within the CONANI framework, has staff trained and certified in pediatric first aid through intensive national programs. Each center must have at least one staff member certified as a Health Agent, present during operating hours. Certification is usually kept current by renewing it every two years.
