In the Dominican Republic, INAIPI's Integral Early Childhood Care model (CAIPI and CAFI centers), within the CONANI framework, has staff trained and certified in pediatric first aid through intensive national programs. Each center must have at least one staff member certified as a Health Agent, present during operating hours. Certification is usually kept current by renewing it every two years.

Centers keep a pediatric first-aid kit stored under lock and key, and administering any prescribed medication requires parental authorization. No specific epinephrine protocol has been confirmed, and adrenaline remains prescription-only, so it is sound practice to document each child's allergies and coordinate medication management with the family, keeping it stored safely yet accessible to staff.
